Bengaluru: The city rural police, probing the brutal murder case of a woman, nabbed three persons in connection with the incident. On June 1, the Bannerghatta police found the dismembered torso of a woman, later identified as R Geethamma, 53, a resident of Janata Colony, dumped in a drain near her house.

According to her neighbours, the woman had been missing for about four days before her dismembered body was found. The three suspects, hailing from Bihar, are said to be former tenants of Geethamma, out of seven. It is suspected that they killed the woman after she refused to transfer a portion of her property to them.

According to sources, one of the suspects was taken to a location near Suvarnamukhi Hill where the cops recovered the woman's head and a hand from under the bushes. The cops are searching for the other hand besides her two legs that the assailants are said to have scattered around the isolated place.
