The first look of Bangalore Boys produced under the banner of ‘V Makers’ was released this week.
The 2.55 minute long trailer is full of fun-emotion, sentiment, romance and punching dialogues. The film tries to make an example of the ‘last bench boys’ who are usually considered the dullest of the class but end up making a great life and career for themselves.
The movie Bangalore Boys has a similar storyline. It is from the time when Bengaluru was still known as Bangalore.
The film is set in the 90s, with Abhishek Das, Sachin Cheluva - rayaswamy, Chandan Achar and Rohit playing characters that we saw in classic films like Randheera, Antha, Om and A. Pragya Nayan, Vainidhi Jagdish, Jayashree Achar and Soni are the leading ladies in the film.
Comedy star Chikkana plays an important role as an IT-BT employee. The film has an ensemble cast of senior artists including Umesh, PD Satish and Mohan Juneja. Gurudutt Ganiga of 'Ambhi Ninge Vyassayto,’ fame worked as the creative director for Bangalore Boys.
Ravi Sriram is the debutant director. “You can call this a nostalgic film. I grew up with some of the most iconic Kannada films of the 90s. You can never shake off those movies from your memories. They have become an integral part of the lives of people who were youngsters in the 90s. Bangalore Boys is an effort to show this generation of audience what it was to live in the 90s. The audience can resonate with the characters we present in the film. The four lead actors are iconic characters in disguise. It won’t be difficult to recognise them. That is when the fun begins,” the director said.
The film has cinematography by Rijo P John, and music by Dharma Vish. Vikram KY and Prashanth Rao Puram have teamed up to produce the film.
