HDK: Siddu ‘Brutus’ who engineered my fall as CM

Bengaluru: Politicians may forget but they rarely forgive. Former CM and JD(s leader H.D. Kumaraswamy made it more than evident on Monday while lashing out at his bete noire and Opposition leader in the Assembly Siddaramaiah, dubbing him ‘Brutus,’ who despite being part of the ruling coalition, joined hands with the opposition party (BJP) and fixed the ‘muhurut’ for pulling down the Congress-JD(S) coalition government headed by him.
“You call JD(S) the ‘B’ team of the BJP. Who is that Brutus who despite being in the ruling party, connived with the then opposition party? Who conspired for the collapse of the coalition government from day one? It is your self-declared ‘Ahinda leader(Siddaramaiah),’ remarked the JD(S) leader on Monday.
Reacting to Siddaramaiah’s statement in Kolar that he did not go to the doors of JD(S) leaders to seek their help to form the coalition government, Kumaraswamy accused Siddaramaiah of misleading people with his ‘series of lies.’ While building (a coalition) is a divine act, destroying it nothing short of a devlish act. The Congress leader only knows how to demolish and nothing else. After the fractured verdict in the 2018 Assembly polls, Congress leaders were the ones who approached him requesting him to take the lead to form a government to prevent the BJP from coming to power.
Kumaraswamy also wondered who was responsible for dividing the Congress Legislature Party(CLP) and encouraging 13 Congress legislators to join the saffron party? Siddaramaiah not only pulled down the JD(S)-Congress coalition government, he was also responsible for the BJP coming to power in the state again. The Congress leader is in the habit of uttering lies and it was he who formed a ‘B’ team of the Congress party which joined hands with the BJP to form the new government, he added.
