Bengaluru: In yet another shocking incident of uncouth behaviour, a cab driver attached to Uber is accused of flashing at a woman in the city. The app-based firm has assured of strict action after the victim narrated her ordeal in a LinkedIn post. The victim alleged that she had hired an Uber cab from BTM Layout 2nd stage to JP Nagar metro on Tuesday.
The woman said all was well initially and the cab arrived on time. The woman further posted that the driver took a different route following which she ticked him off about it. However the driver said that he is following the map in the application.
The woman said that as she felt uncomfortable, she requested an early drop even before reaching her destination. The victim alleged that the accused driver, Rakesh YG, exposed his private parts to her after she paid him the fare which left her traumatized and appalled. She quickly ran away from the driver and mixed into a crowd, the victim said.
As the post went viral, Uber responded to her message. "The Uber team reached out to me and conducted a thorough investigation into the matter," she said.
