Bengaluru: IMD predicts light to moderate rain for two days

Bengaluru: India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in the city for the next two days. It also anticipates strong winds at times, predicting maximum and minimum temperatures to be around 28 and 21 degrees Celsius respectively.
It also warned of thunderstorms and heavy rain for the coastal parts of the State amid the beginning of the monsoon season in the region. Rain or thunderstorm are expected to occur in many places over coastal Karnataka, South and isolated places over the North interior Karnataka until Thursday, said the IMD.
It also predicted thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds at isolated places, with winds reaching 30 to 50 mph over the interior parts of Karnataka. “Isolated thunderstorms are likely to occur over coastal Karnataka within the next 48 hours”, it added.
