Alankar Vidyarthi launched

The Muhurat function of Kannada movie Alankar Vidyarthi was held at Vinayaka Venkateswara Temple at Annapoorneshwari Nagar recently. Dhananjaya, a well-known hero in Sandalwood, was the chief guest. While Keshav S of Indalavadi village near Anekal of Bengaluru Urban district makes debut as a director with this movie, Pramod and Archana Kottige are the lead pair. Achyuth Kumar and Sudha Belawadi are assigned to act as the hero’s parents. Nithin Advi and Rajanikanth are the other artists in this movie.

According to Keshav, the movie – Alankar Vidhyarthi – is based on incidents during his college days. “I was one of the last bench students during my college days. Somehow I managed to complete BCA with great difficulty. In this movie, the hero takes a lot of time to complete his PU and attributes the absence of lady lecturers and women employees in the college as the reason for taking too many years to complete the PU,’’ says Keshav.

Prior to this, Keshav has worked as an associate director for Kannada movie Operation Alamelamma, directed by Simple Suni. Pramod, who is assigned to play the lead role, has acted in Kannada movies Geetha Bangle Store, Premier Padmini, Maththe Udbhava, and Ratnan Prapancha. “I have agreed to act in this movie because of its script and the director’s narration skills,’’ says Pramod. Meanwhile, Archana Kottige has said that she was not a rank student in real life but playing a rank student role in this movie.
