The shooting of Mafia is in progress at Kanteerava Studio in Bengaluru. A police control room set was created by art director Srinivas for the shooting of Mafia. Though it is not for the first time Prajwal Devaraj is sharing screen space with his father Devaraj, it will be first for both of them to act as police officers in a Kannada movie. Prajwal and his father Devaraj played different roles in Kannada movie Arjuna that was released in 2015.

“I am playing a police subinspector role along with Sadhu Kokila. My father is playing the role of a senior police officer. I am very happy to share screen space with my father and also Sadhu Kokila sir,’’ says Prajwal Devaraj, adding the shooting of the movie Mafia will continue for 15 days more at the control room set.

Sadhu Kokila, who plays a police inspector role in this movie, has appreciated director Lohith’s skills in handling the megaphone. “Though Mafia is Lohith’s maiden movie as a director, he is narrating the script like an experienced director. I have acted in many movies with Prajwal Devaraj and also directed a movie with Prajwal as a hero,’’ says Sadhu Kokila.
