Moving car catches fire on Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway

Mandya: In yet another incident that took place on the Bengaluru - Mysuru expressway, a moving car caught fire on Saturday. A major tragedy was averted when the passengers came out of the vehicle before the fire engulfed the vehicle.

The incident took place when the driver was on his way to Mysuru from Bengaluru along with his family. As they reached the service road near Srirangapatna, the driver noticed smoke coming out from the engine bay. He stopped immediately and cautioned his family to get out of the car.

Within a few minutes, the fire spread around the car. It was a lucky escape for the family. The fire personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames. A case was registered at the Srirangapatna Rural Police Station regarding the incident.
