‘Aap Aaye Bahaar Aayi’

New Delhi: As former Congress president, Rahul Gandhi walked up to the Gandhi statue in Parliament House to meet the twelve Rajya Sabha MPs who have been staging a demonstration for over two weeks against their suspension from the Upper House, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut greeted him by saying “Aap aaye bahaar aayi (with you came the spring).”

Earlier this month, Sanjay Raut held separate meetings with Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Raut had told reporters following his meetings with the Gandhis that an anti- BJP front is “not possible without” the Congress.—(PTI)
