
Failing to clear PU exams, student commits suicide

Bengaluru: Depressed at not being able to clear his PU exams even in the second attempt, an 18- year old youth allegedly hanged himself to a ceiling fan at his residence in Byappanahalli Police Station limits.
The deceased youth was identified as Charles, 18, a student of First PU and a resident of Krishnayyanapalya in Bengaluru.
It was revealed that the student was depressed after failing his First PU exam and had applied for a supplementary exam. However when he failed even in the second attempt, the student lost hope.
The police said that the student was found hanging in a room around 9:30 pm on Wednesday.
The parents rushed Charles to the hospital but were told that he was brought dead. A case of unnatural death was registered at the Byappanahalli Police Station.
