CM attacks national edu policy, says uniform system does not suit India

CM Siddaramaiah attacked the National Education Policy of the Centre, saying it is incompatible with the federal system.

He said the Karnataka government would formulate a new education policy keeping in mind the local social, cultural and economic milieu of the state.

The policy would elevate higher education standards to the global level and empower youth to compete globally and gain meaningful employment.

He also said that conversational English classes will be started in all gover nment higher education institutions of the state
