Bengaluru: Security has been beefed up around the Vidhana Soudha premises after the incident of an imposter gaining entry to the Assembly Hall during the budget session last week.
On Monday, Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker UT Khader inspected the existing security setup and protocols around Vidhana Soudha.
Later during the Assembly proceedings, he made a suo motu announcement that a new technology-driven system will be introduced to strengthen the security around Vidhana Soudha, High Court and Raj Bhavan in the coming days.
When CM Siddaramaiah was presenting the Budget on July 7, a 76-year old person named Thipperudrappa, a resident of Chitradurga, had managed to sneak into the Assembly Hall claiming to be the Molakalmuru MLA.
