Indira Canteen to go hi-tech; menu change soon

Bengaluru ,NT Bureau: Since the Congress government came to power in Karnataka, Indira canteens, previously implemented during their earlier rule, have been reinstated.

The government has now announced significant changes to transform the canteens into a “five-star” for the poor to experience.

With focus on making the canteens high-tech, the government plans to revamp the menu and also introduce Nandini products for sale.

Under the new plan, Indira canteens will soon offer a variety of snacks and meals on a daily basis, departing from the current rice-based food offerings.
