Now daughter kills father with a hoe

Ramanagara: In a shocking incident, a daughter hacked her 68- year old father to death in Ramanagara district, sources from the Channapatna rural police told News Trail on Thursday.

According to sources, the incident took place on Tuesday evening in Nayidole village of Channapatna taluk. The deceased was identified as Huchcheeraiah. The accused, Pushpa, 30, disappeared from the spot after allegedly killing her father using a hoe.

Pushpa, a homemaker, had retur ned to her parents' house after a dispute with her husband some years ago. Sources said that she was mentally disturbed for some time.

While they were having dinner at home on Tuesday, there was an argument between the father and daughter. As the argument took a violent turn, Pushpa picked up a hoe and hit her father on the head. Huchcheeraiah collapsed and died on the spot.

Neighbours, who rushed to the spot after hearing the commotion, informed the Channapatna Rural police.

The cops have taken up an investigation and launched a hunt for the accused daughter. Meanwhile, Bengaluru police have formed three special teams to nab the absconding accused in the double-murder case.

The accused, Sharath, is still on the run after killing his parents Bhaskar Udyawar, 61, and Shantamma, 60, of Byatarayanapura.
