Married woman elopes with man she met on Reels

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a bizarre incident, a married woman allegedly eloped with a person whom she met on a social media platform. The incident came to light after her husband approached the city police to file a complaint.

The woman identified as Arpita, was married to Manohar, after which the couple started living in Soladevanahalli Police Station limits in Bengaluru Rural. As per sources, the couple was living in the place for over seven years.

The husband in his complaint alleged that his wife was often found using a mobile phone and was a frequent user of Instagram. It was found that through the online platform she was introduced to one Dinakar, who was regularly posting reels on his account.

The duo established contact and started making reels together.

However, the police said that so far, their inquiry has revealed that the woman had run away a few times earlier too with other men and then returned to her husband after a few days.
