Bengaluru: Sudhama Nagar is in BBMP Ward number 118. It is located in the Chickpet Assembly constituency and the Bengaluru South parliamentary constituency. Sudhama Nagar is a welldeveloped locality in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

It is located in the south of the city, close to the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens and the Kanteerava Stadium. The area is home to a number of offices, schools, and hospitals, making it a popular choice for both residents and businesses.

Sudhama Nagar is wellconnected to the rest of the city by road and public transportation. The nearest metro station is the Lalbagh Botanical Garden metro station, which is just a short walk away. The area is also wellserved by buses and autorickshaws. Poor drainage is a major problem in Sudhama Nagar Ward 118.

The ward's drainage system is not able to cope with heavy rains, which can lead to flooding. This can cause damage to property and make it difficult for residents to get around. The slum behind Urvashi Theater has over 50 houses that are 3 by 4 sq feet.

With a population of 3 to 6 people per house, the low-lying area located near the Rajkaluve is highly prone to flood.

Varalakshimi, who works as a Research centre coordinator, said that the rajakaluve retreats even after small rains causing waterlogging inside houses with garbage and sewage. This has also become a health hazard for the people living there, especially children.

Illegal constructions and encroachment in water bodies and on riverbeds have also blocked the flow of water, which can lead to flooding. This is a serious problem in the ward, as it can put residents at risk and damage the environment.

The lack of public toilets is another problem in the ward. There is a lack of public toilets in the ward, which can be a problem for residents, especially women. This is a basic civic amenity that should be provided to all residents.

Streetlights not working is also a safety hazard in the ward. There are a number of streetlights in the ward that are not working, which can make it difficult for residents to see at night, especially with waterlogging and insects that breed in stagnant water.

Illegal on-road parking is a major problem in Sundhama Nagar, a densely populated area in Bengaluru. The narrow roads are often blocked by cars and motorcycles parked illegally, making it difficult for pedestrians and vehicles to pass through.

This can create traffic congestion, safety hazards, and air pollution. In some cases, illegal parking is done by residents who do not have enough space to park their cars in their own homes. In other cases, it is done by visitors who are not aware of the parking restrictions.
