HDK keeps up attack on Congress

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: JD(S) legislature party leader HD Kumaraswamy on Saturday kept up his attack on the Congress State government over alleged irregularities in the Bengaluru-Mysuru Infrastructure corridor project by NICE company and the hike in milk prices.

On Friday, Shivakumar had reacted to the claims of a NICE scam by pointing out that the project was started under the chief ministerial reign of his father and JD(S) patriarch HD Devegowda.

Moreover, CM Siddaramaiah had in principle agreed to increase the price of Nandini milk by Rs 3 per litre. Referring to the House Committee reports from 2014 to 2016, he said: “You joined hands with an entity comparable to the East India Company, which has indulged in theft. You have no right to take Deve Gowda’s name,” Kumaraswamy said.

“After increasing the price of alcohol, they have raised the price of milk by Rs 3 per litre and are thereby picking the pockets of the working class. They are giving with one hand and taking away with another,” he added, referring to the direct cash transfer schemes of the State government.
