CCB to issue LOC for Junaid

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: After busting an alleged terrormodule in the city, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) has prepared to issue a Look-Out notice through Interpol to trace the suspected mastermind, Junaid, who is believed to have gone abroad.

According to the police, Junaid was involved in criminal activities and was released from Parappana Agrahara prison two years ago. It is suspected that he went to Dubai soon after he was released. Meanwhile the CCB officials have collected information about his travel to Dubai in 2021.

The CCB officials have informed the National Investigation Agency (NIA) about this and are preparing to issue a look out notice after conducting an investigation.

As per the reports, Junaid was helping Suhail, Faisal Rabbani, Umar, Mudassir and Zahed Tabrez, the five suspects who were recently arrested by the CCB Police. Also, there is information that there was a conspiracy to commit acts of vandalism in several parts of Bengaluru.

Following a probe, a large quantity of firearms, pistols and four hand grenades were seized from the houses of the suspects.

The police have obtained two-year CDR details of the suspects to ascertain who they were in contact with so far.

"A probe has been launched to track, arrest and extradite Junaid," the police said. The CCB police said that only the arrest of Junaid would help them unravel the plot fully
