Man commits suicide after ‘love’ refuses marriage

Bengaluru: A 27-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by hanging at his house in Mahalakshmi Layout allegedly over a failed relationship.

The incident came to light on Sunday evening here. The deceased has been identified by the jurisdictional police as Naveen (in pic), a native of Kollegal, who was staying in a rented house at JS Nagar and was working at a banana market.

Investigating officers said that they found a death note at the spot in which it is mentioned that Naveen was in love with a girl.

However, when the girl refused to marry him, the man allegedly took the extreme step. His family revealed that the girl had been avoiding Naveen due to which he was often found depressed.

As the family had gone out in the afternoon, Naveen allegedly hanged himself from a ceiling fan using a saree. When the family returned in the evening, they found him dead and informed the police.

Police shifted his body to MS Ramaiah Hospital and have taken up a case based on a complaint filed by Naveen's family.
