
KRS water level crosses 106 ft, Kabini two feet away from the brim

Bengaluru: The water level in dams in the Cauvery Basin is steadily rising thanks to copious rain in catchment areas. In the last 24 hours, the Krishna Raja Sagar Reservoir in Srirangapatna taluk of Mandya District, received 4 tmc of water, and the water level has crossed the 106 feet mark.
While the inflow into the dam was around 52,000 cusecs, the outflow has been maintained at 5,000 cusecs.
The present storage in the reservoir is 26.811 tmc ft of water as against the total capacity of 49 tmc ft of water.
In Kabini Dam, the water level stood at 2282.22 ft (maximum level 2284 ft) with an inflow of 25,146 cusecs and an outflow of 21,000 cusecs.
