Shivalinge rubbishes Cong internal friction reports
Hassan, NT Bureau: Congress MLA from Arsikere Shivalinge Gowda on Wednesday denied dissent within the party and possible instability affecting the State government.
He was responding to questions by media persons as to whether there was discontent among some MLAs on works in their constituencies being reportedly pending.
He said that the rumours were unfounded, adding that the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) being called on Thursday was a routine affair.
“We said let’s call a Congress Legislature Party meeting since it's been a while since we last met.
We didn’t even call it an urgent matter,” Gowda said. He added that there was no threat to the State government since they had 135 seats in the Assembly
