KRS level touches 110 ft; Kabini two feet away from touching brim

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The water level in KRS Dam is steadily increasing thanks to incessant rain in the catchment areas with the level touching 110 feet on Thursday.

According to information available, the inflow into the dam was around 38,000 cusecs and the outflow remained at 4500 cusecs.

The maximum level of the dam is 124.80 ft. Meanwhile, rains continued to batter Wayanad and surrounding places in Kerala resulting in pushing up the water level at Kabini Dam to 2282.64 ft as against the maximum level of 2284 ft.

The inflow into the dam was 25,000 cusecs and the outflow was 20,000 cusecs. In Kodagu district, rain has subsided but the rainwater is yet to recede. Schools and colleges reopened on Thursday after a two-day holiday.
