Watch your speed on Bluru-Mysuru expressway; AI cameras are up

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The state government has set up artificial intelligence (AI) cameras on the Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway to monitor vehicles speeding beyond permissible limits and book the drivers.

The trial run for the same began on Friday. According to the traffic police, the cameras will help identify the offences that also include passengers and drivers not wearing seat belts and using mobile phones while driving.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Traffic and Road Safety, Alok Kumar shared a clip of the trial run on his Twitter handle and said the initiative would help reduce accidents and fatalities.
