CM Siddaramaiah to chair Dasara High Power Committee meeting in Bengaluru today

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will chair the Dasara High Power Committee meeting in Bengaluru on July 31 in connection with the 2023 Dasara celebrations in Mysuru, said Social Welfare Minister Dr H.C. Mahadevappa.

He told reporters here on Saturday that in the July 31 meeting, the CM would decide on the celebrations in Mysuru which will be held from October 16 to 24. Unlike previous years, the government has decided to celebrate this year’s Dasara on a grand scale.

The previous Dasara festivals were marred by the Covid pandemic which forced the then government to celebrate the Naada habba in a simple manner.

The minister said the Bengaluru meeting would decide on the date for ‘Gaja Payana’ (bringing the Dasara elephants from various Elephant camps to Mysuru) and other events.
