Bengaluru: Stalking, making threats and physical attacks are very serious and when they go unreported, they give bullies a licence to become more and more violent.
In a latest incident of bullying, a student of class 10 was brutally thrashed by four of his classmates, leaving him with two broken teeth and temporary partial loss of vision.
The incident occurred on Thursday but came to light after the victim's mother approached the police. According to sources, the victim was beaten up for speaking to a girl in the class. One of the attackers had a liking for the girl, they said.
The victim's mother said that the incident took place when her son was returning home after his class. Earlier in the day, he had requested the girl for her notes, and during a brief conversation, he borrowed the notes and returned to his seat.
The doctors have advised the victim to rest for nearly a month while receiving treatment for his injuries.
