Students accused of engaging in inappropriate behaviour in class

Bengaluru: With the continuous developing technology, parents have been burdened with additional responsibility of closely monitoring the behavioural changes in their children.

An embarrassing incident has come to light when a few students of a private high school in the city were accused of engaging in inappropriate behaviour.

The parent of a Class 8 student approached the Basaveshwara Nagar police for help when the school management failed to act on her complaint.

According to the complaint, young students allegedly had boyfriends and girlfriends. They also use Snapchat – an instant messaging app – which deletes media after it is seen.

It is alleged that the students are getting exposed to inappropriate content seemingly without any control. Sources from the police quoted the parent alleging that a few boys in her class were engaged in inappropriate behaviour during the class.

Police said a discussion will be held with the school authorities regarding the allegations and necessary action taken.
