CM Siddaramaiah has become weak in second term, claims Ex-CM Bommai

Bengaluru: There is much difference between Siddaramaiah as the chief minister in the first term and the present second term.

He has become weak in the second term, claimed former chief minister and senior BJP leader Basavaraj Bommai. News Trail carried a story last week explaining how the hands of Siddaramaiah are tied by the high command.

The story dwelt at length on the way party bosses have put pressure on the CM regarding the implementation of five guarantee schemes even though it has become a big burden on the state exchequer.

Bommai told reporters here on Thursday that the incumbent CM has lost control over the administration. During the initial days, Congress National General Secretary & In-Charge of Karnataka Affairs Randeep Singh Surjewala held a meeting with officials.

Under the nose of the CM, rampant transfer, nepotism, and corruption are happening, and there has been a total breakdown of governance at the time of floods in one part of the State and drought in other districts, clamed Bommai adding that within two months, all Cabinet ministers have been taken to Delhi for a meeting.

This shows that all is not well in the government. He also said state politics has undergone a sea change. Though Siddaramaiah is hale and hearty, he is not strong when it comes to handling the administration, he claimed.
