Bengaluru: Minister for Co-Operation K.N.Rajanna said he is ready to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha polls if the high command issues directions in this regard.
The minister told reporters in Tumakuru on Friday that he was ready to face the coming parliamentary polls from Tumakuru in case Delhi leaders want him to do so.
“We have given an assurance to our Delhi leaders, AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and former AICC President Rahul Gandhi in a meeting held in Delhi two days ago that we will win 20 of the total 28 Lok Sabha seats from Karnataka in the coming polls”.
He said the Delhi meeting discussed giving responsibility for each Lok Sabha constituency to a minister, and accordingly, he was made in charge of Hassan District and would take care of the same.
On JD(S) Floor Leader H.D. Kumaraswamy’s allegation of a transfer mafia active in the incumbent government, the minister said Kumaraswamy has shared his experience.
“Once it is said by Satyaharischandra, we are not that intelligent to comment on it. Those who speak on corruption are the most corrupt”.
