'Bulldozer justice' continues in riot-hit Nuh
Gurugram, Nuh, NT Bureau: Days after communal violence broke out in Haryana's Nuh district and surrounding areas, the demolition of supposedly 'illegal' constructions has continued unabated for the third day.
The demolition took place at the Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College where, according to an NDTV report, pharmacies opposite the college entrance were targeted.
Interestingly, these shops have been in existence for many years. Local MLA and Congress leader Aftab Ahmed has strongly protested against such actions by the BJP government.
“In Nuh, it is not only the houses of the poor that are being demolished, but the faith and trust of the common people are being destroyed as well. Villagers have said that houses and shops were demolished today, by giving notice on the back date of one month. Government is taking the wrong action to hide administrative failures, this is a repressive policy,” he tweeted.
Numerous videos on social media showed Muslim women in tears after their dwellings were demolished.
