Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Sunday vowed to come up with an “appropriate reply” to JD(S) legislature party leader HD Kumaraswamy over the latter’s corruption allegations.
The former CM has so far alleged that money has been exchanging hands between the ruling party ministers and officers for favourable postings, even suggesting that CM Siddaramaiah’s son and former Congress MLA Yathindra was involved.
He has also trained his guns on Shivakumar, claiming that 15 per cent commission had been fixed in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) for contractors to be given their dues.
Kumaraswamy has been forceful of late in alleging that there are longstanding irregularities in the Bengaluru-Mysuru corridor project which is currently privately owned by Nandini Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE).
The company MD Ashok Kheny is a Congressman and had lost from Bidar South in the May elections.
Kumaraswamy on Saturday vowed to take the evidence of ‘NICE scam’ to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
