Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday once again trained his guns on political rival and JD(S) legislature party leader HD Kumaraswamy, claiming that the latter had been leveling corruption allegations against the State government due to his party’s defeat in the May 10 Assembly elections.
JD(S) was reduced to 19 seats down from 37 in the Assembly elections.
Shivakumar then made a special mention of Mandya district in the Vokkaliga heartland where Congress and its allies won six of the seven constituencies dealing a blow to Kumaraswamy and co. JD(S) had to make do with only KR Pet.
“It is all political. We have won six seats (in Mandya district), have we not? He (Kumaraswamy) isn’t able to tolerate it. There is no medicine for this,” Shivakumar told mediapersons.
He made the comments in reference to Kumaraswamy’s charges against Agriculture Minister N Chaluvarayaswamy,.
