High Court 'displeased’ with NHAI inaction
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The High Court of Karnataka on Wednesday expressed its displeasure with the inaction of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for not including safety measures for motorists on the Kanakapura-Bengaluru road.
It has directed the Authority to file an explanation in the next two weeks regarding the implementation of appropriate safety measures on this road. One SP Sandeep Raju had filed a public interest litigation (PIL) over the expansion of BengaluruKanakpura road.
This petition was heard by the division bench of Chief Justice Prasanna B Varale and Justice MGS Kamal.
The court considered the report submitted by the Court Commissioner appointed by the court earlier regarding road safety.
