Bengaluru: J D(S) legislature party leader HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday hit back at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over corruption allegations that the former had made against the State government.
The CM had mocked the Opposition leader, claiming Kumaraswamy had lost his mental balance following JD(S)’ defeat in the May 10 Assembly elections wherein the regional outfit was reduced to 19 seats.
Siddaramaiah had advised Kumaraswamy to get treatment over the same.
“Does this extortion mentality not require treatment? Do you not feel the curse of the tears shed by government employees? Is mental stability harassing government employees for money? Is this your social justice? Is this you walking the talk?”
Kumaraswamy asked, referring to the cash for transfer scam.
The Opposition leader alleged that Congress had come to power riding on the back of Karnataka State Contractors’ Association (KSCA) president Kempanna but the latter was in a worse state after the Grand Old Party came to power.
