Summons to producers in Sudeep's defamation case

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court on Friday issued summons to Kannada film producers MN Kumar and NM Suresh to appear before it on August 26 in the defamation case filed against them by actor Kiccha Sudeep.

The actor had appeared in person before the court on Thursday and recorded his statement. Judge Venkanna Basappa Hosamani issued the summons in his order on Friday.

Sudeep has alleged that the two producers made false allegations against him in a press conference claiming that Kumar paid money to Sudeep for construction of a house in Rajarajeshwarinagar.

Suresh had supported the claim. Other false allegations were also made which damaged his reputation the actor has claimed.
