Bommai urges Rahul to intervene, help contractors

Bengaluru: Alleging that former AICC President Rahul Gandhi has been a beneficiary of the ‘Karnataka ATM,’ former CM Basavaraj Bommai said Rahul will not intervene to help contractors get their dues paid.
He also said the BJP will launch a legal battle against the state government. Bommai claimed that Deputy CM Shivakumar was trying to divert divert attention from the issue and wondered why the incumbent Congress government didn’t release Rs 650 crore released during previous BJP rule.
In the name of an inquiry, the money hasn’t been released which has given room to suspicion.
“We released the money in March. But as the Congress government failed to release that money, the contractors have approached the CM,’’ he said.
