Ask HDK about his own property: Vishwanath

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: No love is lost between MLC H Vishwanath and the JD(S) with the lawmaker questioning the regional outfit’s legislature party leader HD Kumaraswamy as to how he gathered his own wealth.

He made the comments in the backdrop of Kumaraswamy claiming weeks ago that he had proof of the Congress government’s allegations in a pen drive.

“How much property does HDK own? Where did it come from? Ask him,” Vishwanath said.

On the occasion, he also slammed the BJP for not being able to come to power without the help of either the JD(S) or rebel MLAs from the regional party or the Congress.

He added that he was sympathetic to BJP MLA from Gokak Ramesh Jarkiholi because he lost out on his ministry.

Vishwanath has been regularly critical of Kumaraswamy. Recently, he claimed that when the JD(S) bigwig was made the CM in 2018, his party was offered 12 Cabinet berths.

The MLC alleged that Kumaraswamy was able to fill only 10 and when Vishwanath, a former JD(S) man, requested him to give the remaining ministries to a Dalit and a Muslim, he ignored the suggestions.
