2 women honey-trap retd govt official, arrested

Bengaluru: The Jayanagar police have arrested two women who had allegedly formed a notorious honey trap gang. The accused were identified as Annamma and Sneha.

The duo had allegedly trapped Sudhindra, a retired government officer and demanded money from him. Earlier, Annamma is said to have taken Rs 5,000 from him, citing financial problems.

Later, she called Sudhindra to an OYO room where she allegedly tried to get physical with him and recorded a video of it.

The accused then used the same video to blackmail him and extort money every now and then. The duo threatened to send the intimate videos on WhatsApp to colleagues and friends of the victims.

Sudhindra received a blackmail call not only from Annamma but also from her friend Sneha. The complaint states that the accused extorted Rs 82 lakh from the victim.

Unable to bear the harassment, the retired officer complained to the Jayanagar police who investigated the case and arrested the two women.
