Vijayapura man facing Pocso case found hanging in B’luru lodge

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A youth was found hanging in a lodge in Cottonpet Police Station limits in the city on Wednesday morning.

A preliminary probe revealed that the deceased hailed from Vijayapura district. Inspecting the spot, the police retrieved his mobile phone and found a video clip he had shared on his social media account.

The youth in his video claimed that his wife and her family had filed a false police complaint against him at Bagewadi Police Station. He also alleged that the police did not listen to his side of the story and registered the case against him.

Fearing arrest, he had allegedly escaped the district and came to Bengaluru. When the police contacted their counterparts in Bagewadi, the actual matter came to light.

The deceased was identified as Shashidhar, a resident of Bagewadi in Vijayapura district. It was revealed that he had married a minor girl recently after an affair.
