Davangere family of 3 tragically ends lives in US

Davangere, NT Bureau: In a tragic incident, a family hailing from here reportedly faced a series of suicides on Friday within the premises of Baltimore, Maryland state, USA.

The precise circumstances leading to their demise remain undisclosed.

Requesting assistance from the government, the family members are seeking aid to repatriate the mortal remains of the trio – Yogesh Honnala (37), Pratibha Honnala (35), and Yash Honnala (6) – back to India.

Having spent nearly a decade in the United States, the family had established their residence there, with both Yogesh and Pratibha employed as software engineers.

Bengaluru resident Shobha, who is Yogesh's mother, revealed that on August 19, the Baltimore police contacted them with the distressing news of the family's suicide.

Although this tragic event has been confirmed, the authorities are diligently investigating the underlying reasons that compelled them to take such a drastic step.

Expressing her grief, Shobha conveyed, "My son and daughter-in-law had shared a contented married life during their nine-year stay in the US. The abruptness of their actions is perplexing. Our primary objective now is to uncover the truth."
