Bengaluru: A girl student got electrocuted after an electricity pole fell on her while she was walking on Suddagunte Palya Road in the city on Tuesday.
The injured was identified as Priya, a first-year PU student at Christ University in Bengaluru.
According to sources, the incident took place around 2 pm when the student was en route to her PG accommodation from the college during the lunch break.
"The student was walking towards a PG with her friends when the electricity pole fell on some parked vehicles and a live wire fell on the student. She was rushed to St John's Hospital immediately," said a nearby shopkeeper, Shankar.
