Zameer finances boy’s Indonesia karate tourney trip

Bengaluru: Minister for Housing and Minority Affairs Zameer Ahmed Khan on Wednesday took it upon himself to finance the trip of an eighth standard student who had qualified for a Karate competition to be held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
One Mohammad Tahir Amir who studies in eight standard of Crescent English high school in Hebbal had qualified for an international Karate competition in Jakarta to be held from September 19 to 24.
However, he was distressed because his family couldn’t pay for an air ticket which was necessary for him to attend the tournament.
Zameer, however, asked Amir to come down to the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office in Bengaluru where the minister booked the tickets worth Rs 65,000 for the student to travel to and from Jakarta.
