
2 NLSIU students robbed of mobile phones

Bengaluru: A law student and his female friend were robbed of their mobile phones by two bikeborne miscreants near the National Law School of India University here.
The incident took place around 12 am on Monday when the two friends were chatting near a bus stop.
The complaint from the victim states that the unidentified men confronted them and pulled out a knife demanding them to hand over their mobile phones. As soon as they were handed over the phones, the miscreants fled from the spot.
The victim borrowed a phone from a passer-by and dialled his number in an attempt to get back his phone. The accused answered but demanded Rs 15,000 to return the mobile phones and even shared a mobile number to transfer the money.
The student negotiated with the accused and transferred Rs 5,000, but the phones were not returned.
The jurisdic - tional police have registered a case of robbery and efforts are on to nab the miscreants.
