Why fear probes if you’ve nothing to hide: DKS

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has asked the BJP why it feared a judicial probe into the 40 per cent commission allegations and claims of Covid-era irregularities in the purchase of medical equipment if they had nothing to hide.

The investigation into the 40 per cent allegations of the contractors is being headed by retired judge Nagmohan Das. Meanwhile, the judicial inquiry for Covid irregularities is to be headed by retired Karnataka High Court (HC) John Michael Cunha.

“Why are you afraid if you are clean?” Shivakumar asked BJP leaders who had been critical of the two investigations.

He added that the probes were a routine affair and there had been no political interference on the Congress’ part.
