BBMP chief engineer critical, recovering: Tushar Girinath

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In a clarification to the circulation of false information regarding the death of Chief Engineer Shivakumar, BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath has said that Shivakumar is responding to treatment at the Apollo hospital here.

The condition of Shivakumar, however, remains critical, Girinath added. He said that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar had visited the hospital in Sheshadripuram to enquire about Shivakumar's health condition.

The BBMP chief requested media houses not to give wrong information to the public.

“Only after a doctor provides an official release and issues a medical report should such a matter be made public,” he said.
