Woman DRFO ends her life

Madikeri, NT Bureau: A young woman forest officer was found hanging at a Forest Department guest house in Madikeri on Tuesday night.

So far, the investigation has hinted that the officer might have committed suicide. However, the police could not ascertain the exact reason for her death.

The deceased officer was identified as Rashmi GC, a 27-year-old Deputy Range Forest Officer (DRFO), who hailed from Mandya district. It was revealed that Rashmi had been serving in the Kodagu district for the last two years.

However, on Tuesday night, she was found dead at her quarters close to the Aranya Bhavan here. The Madikeri Town police visited the spot and have taken up further investigation.
