KSLTA ITF J30 B'luru from Sept 2

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: The Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) will host the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior 2023 J30 Bengaluru tournament from September 2 to 9.

The KSLTA – ITF Junior Tournament for boys and girls in the Under-18 category will feature 32 players in the singles main draw and 16 in the doubles category.

The qualifying events will be held on September 2 and 3, with the tour nament proper starting on September 4.

“This is the first time an ITF Junior 30 event has been allotted to Karnataka. This event is another feather in KSLTA's cap,” said KSLTA Secretary Maheshwar Rao.

Four Karnataka players – Rishivandan Sadeeshkumar and Diganth M, (Boys), Kaajal Ramisetty and Kashvi Sunil (Girls) -- have been given wild card entries in the main draw.

“The matches will be held simultaneously at the KSLTA’s main courts and the adjacent Sree Kanteerava Lawn Tennis Courts. We’re expecting some close contests,” said Tournament Director Gayathri Rao.
