Annapurna on a run riot
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Annapurna Bhosale shone with the bat, scoring an impressive 196 off 154 balls (23x4), leading the Merchants Cricket Club to a remarkable 359-run victory over Dooravani Cricketers.
On the bowling front, Varsha K Sulkhe (4/2) and Anjali Raman (4/6) combined to dismantle Dooravani, restricting them to just 37 runs in 20 overs.In other matches, the second team of the Merchant Cricket Club posted a total of 136 for eight wickets against Palace Orchards Cricket Club.
Despite strong performances from Mrinalini Jain (4/28) and DV Mohita (2/32) in the bowling department, Palace Orchards managed to secure a thrilling one-wicket victory by scoring 140 runs with one wicket remaining.
Similarly, Eminent Cricketers set a target of 112 runs while batting first against Engrades Cricket Club. Mahejbeen Momin of Engrades led the bowling attack effectively, conceding only two runs while taking four wickets.
It was a closely contested match, with the lower-order batsmen from Engrades ensuring the team protected their only wicket, ultimately winning with a score of 113 for 9.
