'I’ll be happy to arrange a mass DNA test for your party,' Priyank hits back at BJP over dynasty politics row

Bengaluru: Taking a dig at the Karnataka unit of the BJP over their comments on dynastic politics, Priyank Kharge, the IT-BT, Rural Development, and Panchayat Raj Minister, stated that he would be more than willing to organise a mass DNA test for their party leaders.
By making this statement, he aimed to highlight that a significant portion of the BJP’s candidates in the last state elections had family connections in politics.
The minister’s remark came in response to a poster that mocked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that he was dressed as a “Barbee.”
The poster displayed the Twitter handle of the Karnataka BJP, although it was not found on the party’s official account. The caption on the poster read, “Congress has failed Karnataka. Take your dynasty away.”
Kharge, who shared the poster on Twitter, accused the party of being afraid to engage in a debate on this issue or their candidates’ backgrounds.
He said, “Either you are too scared to debate on it or your candidates are ashamed of their lineage or too embarrassed to acknowledge it in public.”
Furthermore, the minister proceeded to provide a list of BJP leaders, emphasizing that the list was extensive. It included the names of former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Vijayendra and Raghavendra, Arvind Limbavali, Tejasvi Surya, and Somashekar Reddy, among others.
He also taunted the BJP, suggesting that the party should accept the DNA challenge nationwide, stating that the testing would be conducted free of charge in Karnataka.
