Disqualified MP Prajwal Revanna seeks time to move SC
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Prajwal Revanna, the JDS Member of Parliament from Hassan whose election was declared null-andvoid by the High Court of Karnataka has filed an application in the HC seeking a stay on its earlier order.
The HC on September 1, partly allowed two election petitions that had challenged Prajwal’s election.
Prajwal Revanna has sought the stay so that he can approach the Supreme Court with an appeal against the HC judgement by Justice K Natarajan.
Prajwal’s application is yet to be heard by the HC. Prajwal Revanna, who had contested as a JD(S) candidate from the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, has been accused of providing false information to the Election Commission.
The defeated candidate A Manju and advocate Devarajegowda had challenged his election.
