BMTC implements ordinary fares for night services
NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has implemented ordinary service passenger bus fares for night services, effective September 6, 2023.
This means that passengers will now have to pay the same fare for night services as ordinary services during the day.
At present, BMTC imposes a surcharge of 1.5 times higher than the standard fare for services between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. in the city.
The move aims to bring uniformity in passenger bus fares and make night services more affordable for commuters. BMTC currently operates night services between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am.
